Kim Derkatch

Kim Derkach is a Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Integrative Education and Spiritual Development of The Canadian Institute of Integrative Nursing Development & Education Ltd (TheCIINDE©), an internationally recognized school that offers continuing education and personal development for nurses and other healthcare professionals. 

In addition to being trained as a Reiki Master, Kim is also a Certified Holistic Nurse and Nurse Coach, and a Certified Medical Intuitive who specializes in traditional and holistic practices that provide an integrated approach to healing the body, mind, and spirit. Her work reflects her healing journey that began when she experienced her own health crisis.

As Kim began to heal by connecting to her intuition, she became inspired to help others do the same. With the knowing that every illness has a story, Kim is passionate about energetic healing and guiding people back into their intuitive bodies to bring awareness to their own inherent wholeness and the infinite possibilities for their lives.

The heart of Kim’s work is about empowering people to see everything they need to heal lives within them. Kim continues to share her passion and expertise with various organizations and community initiatives including The Canadian Holistic Nurses Association and The Life is Worth Living Way.


Janet Riley

Janet Riley has been a Registered Nurse since l984 and has been offering complementary therapies as part of her nursing practice for decades. She is a graduate of the Holistic Nurse Coaching program at the Canadian Institute of Integrative Nursing & Development (TheCIINDE®) and is board certified as a Holistic Nurse (HN-BC®). She is a Senior Student Advisor and Instructor involved in course development in complementary therapies at TheCIINDE®.

Her training in Reiki began in 1996 with Tera Mai Reiki. Feeling that there was more knowledge to be gained on the subject of Reiki she did further training with Reiki Masters in Traditional Reiki, Johrei Reiki, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, Karuna® Reiki and Blue Star Celestial Energy.

She has been a Bowenwork/Bowtech® instructor since 2010 teaching Bowen therapy across Canada and operates Bowen Pain Clinic in Ontario for chronic and acute pain management. As a Senior Instructor with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia, she offers up to and including certification as a Bowenwork® practitioner to allied health care professionals as well as post certification courses. Her latest BTAA approved course “Energetic Assessment for the Bowenwork® Practitioner, Transform your Bowen Practice without Transforming Bowen” is offered internationally.

In the late 80’s she was the Registered Nurse at the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre in Ottawa, Ontario where she trained staff in Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapies and worked with the resident doctor and visiting Vaidyas (Ayurvedic physicians) from India. Her education and training in complementary therapies dates back over forty years including meditation, energy therapies, herbalism as well as End of Life Doula training with Conscious Dying Institute and Douglas College.


Sherry Hole

Sherry Hole is the founder and President of The Canadian Institute of Integrative Nursing Development & Education (TheCIINDE©), an internationally recognized school that offers continuing education and personal development for nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Sherry’s passion for holistic healing and her vision of a world where eastern and western medicine collaborate inspired her to create TheCIINDE© . Sherry believes that we need holistic nurses and nurse coaches at both the bedside and in communities where they can guide, support and coach people in achieving and sustaining healthy wholesome lifestyles.

In addition to be trained in Reiki, Sherry has level 1 and 2 of Healing Touch, and includes holistic approaches such as aromatherapy, mindfulness, breathwork and energetic healing into her everyday activities. She is also currently training to become a Yoga teacher and a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor.

Drawing upon her experiences as well as her training as an Integrative Mental Health Coach, a Board-Certified Holistic Nurse and Board-Certified Health & Wellness Nurse Coach, Sherry’s goal is to honor each individual’s unique experience with illness and health while offering guidance and support during their journey to optimal health & wellness.
